# No video playing

Hello

This Manuel Urena from IAR NJ

I want to thank you for this helpful software. I’m having hard time to playing video in quelea ( only produce sounds ). I have the latest version but also I tried oldest version as well, nothing seem to work. Also I have VCL. Any guidance on how to play MP4 would be appreciated.

Hi Manuel. I have tested an MP4 file in Quelea 2022.0 on a clean Win10 machine. Works well.  
I don’t think Quelea uses VLC for multimedia playback. Anyway, if that multimedia component would be broken, there would be no video AND no sound.

In your case, I suspect the MP4 file has an incompatible video codec. Try a different MP4 file. Or post more info here. My file had this codec: H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) (avc1)
