I have been posting updates with the latest features in [Checkout this Quelea expansion pack build with Improvements and experimental features! - #27 by JessyJP](https://quelea.discourse.group/t/checkout-this-quelea-expansion-pack-build-with-improvements-and-experimental-features/1162/27)

This is a release for 2025.
Technically, it wouldn’t be the “official”, but rather an expansion pack on top of the “official” based on the source tree which is about 550 commits ahead of upstream.
It’s compatible with upstream, hence your existing instantiation.
Of course as with anything IT, make a backup, install, try it out & enjoy!

I am providing a window and cross-platform installer, which can be found here:

For your peace of mind I am a user of my own builds, but if there are any issues, you can report here or maybe as a GitHub issue.
Either way the usual disclaimers apply here.
Either way upstream hasn’t fixed the video memory leak.
I might have a look at it, but the focus here is not to fix upstream bugs.
It’s the latest and greatest in terms of features and usability.
I stay up-to-date with upstream so if any fixes roll out they will be here right away.

## This is how chatgpt would have phrased it:

**Quelea 2025 Expansion Pack (Unofficial)**

I’m excited to share my unofficial **Quelea Expansion Pack** for 2025, built from a community fork that’s **550 commits ahead** of upstream. It’s fully compatible with the official release—just install over your existing setup, back up your files, and enjoy the new features.

### 🎉 What’s Inside

- **Experimental features** and UI improvements
- All the latest usability tweaks from the community source tree

### 🔧 Installation

1. **Backup** your current Quelea data and settings.
2. Download the cross-platform installer for Windows, macOS, or Linux:

- Report any bugs here or open an issue on GitHub—this is a community build, so your feedback is vital!

### ⚠ Disclaimer

- This is **not** the official Quelea release—think of it as an “expansion pack.”
- Upstream video-memory leak is still present; fixing core bugs isn’t the primary focus, but I track upstream closely, so any official fixes will flow into this pack immediately.
- Use at your own risk and always keep backups.

Enjoy the latest and greatest in community-driven Quelea development!

P.S. this version feels so much more marketable but starting off by saying “so excited” feels annoying hahah
