Adding the local time to the main display screen

Greetings. How can I add the local time to show on the main display? TIA

Do you know how to code ?

P.S. maybe some widget overlay (i.e. a separate application).

Hi Jessy,

Unfortunately, no.

Any other suggestions.

Yes, … but there are some caveats. Let me know if you are interested.
What os are you using ?

We are currently on Windows 11.

I am planning make an example pluging, since i have the system but didn’t have anything in particular i wanted to make right now. (other than a youtube link importer). I could make you a plugin to have the time. It wil use an html tempalte which you could edit if you want to adjust the look.
First you will have to use my build of course.
Then you have to explain your needs exactly.

I already have some ideas. Let’s say:

  • You will have a panel where you add clocks from differnet timezones.
  • For each clock there will be a specifier like " [Location] [DD/MM/YYYY-HH:MM:SS…] and so on. Depending on what you add to or remove it owuld show that.
+Or I might get a list from the internet for all popular types of date timestrings. Maybe with some checkboxes and dorpdowns to determine the formatting and what will be shown.
  • Now the quesiton is should to be an item or an overlay or have the option to have both.
  • Maybe have a textbox for the HTML template so that people don’t have to search for it but can just edit and update right away … could do.

It’s actually quite suitable for a plugin progject because it will have a separate process to check and upate the time so it’s a good opportunity to test some other bits out.

Essentially, you would be using this Checkout this Quelea expansion pack build with Improvements and experimental features!
