I added a single .jpg image to playlist. When I click on it and send it live, it does not fill the screen. I don’t need it to fill the screen, but the projected image shows a piece of my desktop on the left and right ends of the projected image. How can I blacken them out ? Thank you if you can help !
I think this has been reported earlier as:
Work-around until solved:
Before starting Quelea: change your desktop background colour setting to ‘black’.
My work around for this was to put the image into a video (NCH StagePhoto) and set the duration for the video for 15 minutes (900.000 seconds). This showed the .jpg image on the projector with a black background. (The image didn’t have to last the full 15 minutes, of course, you could advance to the next slide easily by just tapping the spacebar.) Changing the desktop to a black screen was considered, but with the projector set to “extend”, I use the basic desktop image to fill in on the screen when Quelea is not projecting an image on the screen. What I ended up doing (aside from things such as Bible verses from the on board, default Bible) is just put everything into a video. Our church does not have an accompanist, so a video with the piano sound track and slides created for the words for the verses inserted on time within the video, made things so much easier. However, it sure would be nice to see a module added to the software that would blacken out the background behind single .jpg images when projected. Incidently, trying to locate the NIV Bible in a .xml format was a pain in the butt. I ended up going through the Microsoft browser and found the website called “Bible List”. It was free and easily downloaded from there. Thank you for your response. I greatly appreciated that !
