We have been using Quelea since 2022. And for the past 2 years we have had it crash after all windows updates. Sometimes we can’t even add anything to the schedule. We are never able to save. Quelea just shuts down.
I have updated to the latest version, rebuilt the database and it may last for a while, but it just goes right back into it. Our only option is to restore the laptop to the previous windows version. And we have to stop all future updates which is no good for our computer.
This past week there was huge 45 minute update to windows 11 and like clock work, Quelea shutdown. The restoration kept us from using quelea until halfway thru the service.
There is hardly Any major software on this computer, however not none. We have installed some minor graphics software and maybe Microsoft and some antivirus, etc.
Can anyone give me an idea of where to troubleshoot this problem? How do ai fix it?
Is the system generally stable? Your CPU may be maxing out (100% usage) and Quelea crashing from unresponsiveness. Or does Quelea just quit on its own suddenly with no human input?
Do you use Onedrive? If so, wonder if that’d be interfering somehow.
Do you by chance use motion backgrounds? I had to stop because they were causing Quelea to pull ALL of the systems memory before crashing Quelea. Once I went to static background graphics the problem stopped.
I don’t think so but I will check Sunday. I did not boot it up last Sunday after the update so I can’t be positive on whether it is maxed out. And as for one drive, it’s possible. I am not sure what our pastor installed when he installed microsoft.
Try pulling up the task manager before running Quelea. You might be able to see something. That was how I found the memory issue with the motion backgrounds. Other than that I am at a loss. Oh and you might upload a copy of the crash log. It might have something.
