If I drag an item within a Quelea schedule I often find that a different item is moved to the destination of the intended item. I can get round this by using the arrows to move items one step at a time but it is rather frustrating.
It is a problem on my home PC and on the PC in the church. Both are running Windows 10.
Does anybody else have this issue?
Thanks. Robin
Hmm, I can’t seem to recreate it quickly. Could you attach a quick screen grab? Does it always happen, or is it intermittent?
Hi Mike,
Thanks for your reply.
It is intermittent.
I’ve recorded the screen moving around some of the items for tomorrow’s service - I thought I was recording myself describing what I was doing but unfortunately that hasn’t come through. It made several mistakes as I was doing it but the most obvious is the last one where I attempted to move 07Prayer Time to below 08The Peace but what actually happened was 03 The Jubilate jumped down from the top instead.
This was recorded on my home PC but it also first started happening on our church PC.
The recording is too big to email so I’ve sent it by WeTransfer.
Thanks for your help.
Robin
Is there some other way I can send you the video so you can see what happens?
Robin
Hi Mike,
I’ve edited the video recording down to the few seconds with the most obvious demonstration of the drag & drop issue in Quelea so I can attach it to this email.
Thanks
Robin
(Attachment Quelea drag & drop problem.mp4 is missing)
Hmm - that didn’t work so let’s try this with a link to Google Drive
Screen Recording 2024-09-14 152822.mp4
Success!
Go to 1min 15sec for the most obvious demonstration of the issue.
Berry it happens to me on a regular basis.
I have grown used to it so its just a minor annoyance.
I too have mostly got used to it.
The problem arises when one of the other folk who manage the computer on a Sunday make a change which then causes much confusion - especially as they try to put it right still using drag & drop!

… it’s good to know it not just me!
